Moira Gordon

Creative Coach + Yoga Teacher

Finding energy flow through yoga from the heart and creative practice to nourish the soul, has inspired Moira to teach Dru yoga with art in yARToga © workshops. This expressive experience has developed from daily studio practice around movement and visual art for well-being and purpose.

Moira is a Creative Coach, certified through work with Lisa Sonora’s Visual Journal Studio for many years. She also qualified as a Dru yoga teacher in the same time frame. The soft flowing Dru movements, controlled breathing and visualisation add a complementary energy to simple expressive creative process using art supplies to make colour, line, word and symbol.

Early in life, after completing Fine Art and Fashion & Textiles design studies, Moira was an adult art teacher and art & craft youth worker, later she worked in business as a Graphic designer for many years.

Recently, she put her business knowledge to the service of the Yoga for Good Foundation, a charity supporting Yoga organisations and Yoga teachers to reach out to others through Yoga. Yoga is a life-long interest and a constant area of study and life application for Moira.

Currently, she is engaged in Mental Health Aware Yoga with Dr Lauren Tobin a clinical psychologist to develop further yARToga © workshops.

Moira personally enjoys Yoga and Art through the practice of Mandala and Yantra and is planning this spring to workshop with Rishi Yoga Diwali (Satyananda Yoga) sacred geometry of shape and yoga practice with the use of art & design colour theory to add to yARToga © workshops.
